Dental Hygiene here I come!

Ever since I was a little girl I loved going to the Dentist. I don't know why, but I thought it was the most exciting place, the doctors doesn't even come close to being as cool.
In high school I had the opportunity to get some hands on experience in a dentist office. Best thing ever!!
Which has inspired me to pursue Dental Hygiene as my career.
Well folks its official. I got accepted into a program! I couldn't be more excited. No more waiting lists and reapplying.
Now its time to kiss my social life good bye.
I apologize in advance if for the next 2-3 years you don't see me and tend to think I am mean, but school is back to my number ONE priority and I couldn't be more thrilled.

Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive throughout my whole life. I'm a pretty lucky girl to have the family and friends I do.!

Smart or pointless

Sooo how to you decide whether someone is smart or just knows random crap?
Well here are a few ways to help you:

1- Is it relevant to anything you're talking about?
*Yes, then proceed to question 3.
*No, then proceed to question 2.

2- Who started the discussion?
(Was it them trying to just sounds smart..hmmm you'll have to think about that one)

3- How much do you truly care about what they are saying?
*Lots you say? Then they must be pretty smart!
*You don't care? Well then, my friend, just tell them they are really smart and move on. If you don't care then the best thing to do is let them feel smart so they can shut up.

***And now you have figured out how to tell if someone is smart! Congratulations.***

Go go go!

"Stop questioning. Stop fearing.
Go for it! Fall for it! Fall in love with it.
Don't let that stupid you aren't good enough stop you.
One day you'll be better than good enough!
Keep trying!
Love it and jump!
But if you fall. You gave it your all.
Don't cry friend.
Smile you got further than you would have hiding in that corner.
You are strong.
You are impressive.
You can do anything!"

My little job of joy

My job brings lots of amusing people in and out. You can't ever expect who you're going to meet. It is quite the joyous job. No sarcasm there.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting an old man. I sorta have a thing for old people, they are my favorite.

Before I start the story you'll need a little background on my hometown. I live by Delta in a smaller town called Oak City. As you would guess Delta is surrounded by more smaller towns, so it is just easier to tell people I'm from Delta.

The old man who came to my work asked me if I was from Hinckley, another small town outside Delta. I inform him I'm from Oak City. He then feels that I do NOT look like I am from Oak City. This puzzles me for a minute. How can someone NOT look like they are from a certain town? I do everything by the books which includes wearing a hoodie the usual AE jeans, tennis shoes and hair pulled up.. could I look anymore small town girl?

He then proceeds to say how I'm not a Nielson or Anderson. Which again requires a small town update. Everyone from my town seems to have the same last name, they are all related to each other in one way or another. Its like your whole family living in a small town. I find it to be cute and charming, but it certainly gets its fair share of 'Inbred" jokes. So basically this guy was telling me that I don't look like I'm from Oak City.. cause I don't look like everyone else and am not inbred.

Wow could this guy be any more amusing! The things that come out of old people's mouths! It's impossible not to laugh!

We then manage to get on the topic of school. He asks me what grade I am in for high school. I have to laugh at this because I graduated a long time ago, it is beginning to feel like. Once he understands I am not in high school. He kindly notices my ringless left hand. Proceeding to more of a statement rather than a question, "'You aren't married?"

Bahaha who says that! It was apparent to him that this is bad.! I think he meant something is wrong with me for being single.. well then that sucks! Haha but this is why I have a thing for old people. They lose their filters. What comes out is either sweet, or horrible and hilarious!
